Our Vision
The need for help is crucial in Liberia, and the lack thereof is critically affecting Liberians to a shocking degree. Without an immediate solution there is little hope to help these underserved communities and elevate them into self-sufficiency. It is our ongoing mission that the Dickross Opportunity Foundation serves as a catalyst by significantly improving the quality of life in remote Liberian villages. Our support services provide a solution for these individuals, to brighten their future and, most importantly, provide the resources and health care that they presently cannot obtain.
Who We Represent:
Individuals and families in the third world country of Liberia, who do not have the means or capacity to obtain what they desperately need due to the two years of Ebola crisis and the 14 years of the civil war.
What We Do:
- The Dickross Opportunity Foundation employs programs that will give hope to the hopeless, so that individuals and families in Liberia receive basic necessities and empowerment and can someday be self-sustaining and provide for themselves.
- Our mission is to relieve economic hardships, which impair the learning environment in the war-ravaged countries of Liberia, Sierra Leone and Ivory Coast.
- Building a school for kids in Liberia in which they can attend completely free of charge as well as free meals and school supplies.
Why:
- Empower children as future leaders of nations/communities and give them opportunities to learn and lead a better future.
- To become the voice for the voiceless and a foundation with a message of positive change for future generations.
- To promote and establish a wide variety of agricultural services and activities in Liberia, supporting the production of lowland and upland rice farming, vegetable production, and the training of farmers in various agriculture disciplines.
When:
- The Dickross opportunity foundation was founded by Rose Ross in 1972.
How You Can Support:
- Your donation is a contribution to the school in Liberia that will be completely free of charge to attend, for meals, and for school supplies. Your Donation is also a contribution to the families and individuals in Liberia who are in need of healthcare and necessities.

About the Founder
Our founder, Rose Ross, is well qualified for her position and has proven herself as a dedicated, compassionate humanitarian. From a young age, Rose has always helped people who are in need. Rose also started as a Police officer for 5 years in 1972 at the age 22 years old, dealing with juvenile delinquents children. A few years later Rose became a social worker to make a difference in children’s life. Being a social worker motivate Rose to open Dickross opportunity foundation. From establishing an orphanage overseas in 1972, to coming to America and extending the same selfless charity through women’s programs and agriculture initiatives, Rose is determined to make a difference in local and global communities.
The same passion that has followed Rose throughout her life encouraged her to establish the Dickross Opportunity Foundation. The organization recognizes the poor conditions of the third world and employs programs that will give hope to the hopeless. Rose oversees the foundation’s operations, so that individuals and families around the world receive basic necessities and empowerment and can someday be self-sustainable and provide for themselves.
